A few days ago I received my last order: the Samsung Galaxy SII phone. After unpacking my smartphone, I was able to enjoy the branded ROM from Play and went straight to the installation of another ROM. Polop000 from the GSMX forum came to my rescue, thanks to which it didn’t take too much time to root and upload a new ROM 🙂 Currently, I stayed with the MIUI system. Photos from this phone are very good quality, so in the near future most of the photos that I will publish here will be confidently taken with a Samsung camera.

To enable comfortable use of the phone, especially navigation in the car, I decided to buy a proven and stable phone handle. The choice fell on the original Samsung ECS-K200BEGSTD holder (dedicated to the Galaxy S3 and other smartphones in sizes from 4 to 5.3 inches), in which you can easily mount the Galaxy S2 (even with an additional protective housing or a larger 2000mAh battery). The Samsung Galaxy Ace also holds very well in this handle 😉

Below photos of the phone/navigation holder already attached to the windshield in Polo 6R:

To protect SGS2 from damage, scratches, etc. I bought a SGP CASE NEO HYBRID protective case for it, which I was able to find at a promotional price on Allegro 🙂 Polycarbonate frame in ‘Satin Silver’ color perfectly fits to chrome inserts in Volkswagen Polo (like I remember correctly, the chrome trim on the dashboard vents is probably only in the Highline version or at an additional cost).

And this is how the SGS2 looks like in the holder with a silver Neo Hybrid casing inside my Polo 6R:

Navigation – currently the best navigation with Polish maps on Android (AutoMapa):

Unfortunately, the camera in GSGS2 is placed too much in the center, so to record videos from the car you need to slightly move the phone to the left – then the handle does not cover the camera, but the smartphone is very stable:

Quality slightly degraded by VEGAS and YouTube compression.

So that the battery does not die on longer journeys while using navigation, I also purchased an original Samsung charger for the Galaxy S2 (catalog number: ACADU10CBE):
