Unfortunately, probably due to infrequent use, the previous Viking battery quickly died. The car stopped starting, and at first I thought it was some other malfunction, but it turned out that even after recharging with a CTEK charger, the battery couldn’t hold a charge, and when attempting to start the engine, the voltage quickly drops below 8V – I measured this with a NOCO GB150 starter meter.

The Akuan battery shop confirmed the death of the battery, furthermore they noticed that it was slightly swollen:

It is a bit poor that after about 1.5 years the Viking has already died. It’s possible that just my copy was defective, but now I’ve decided to buy something else already.
The choice fell on a Banner of Austrian manufacture. The colour scheme with the dominant red doesn’t really suit me, but fortunately it will be covered up by the spare wheel 🙂
Model: Banner Power Bull P62 19 12V 62Ah

Let’s hope this one lasts me longer than 1.5 years 🙂
