My old battery had given up the ghost and was no longer able to fire the Polo much, so I decided to buy a new one.
I was looking for something similar, i.e. in the 60-65Ah range, and a Varta Silver Dynamic 63Ah D15 caught my eye, but the local battery shop was out of it. The salesmen were extolling two batteries of Ukrainian manufacture: 64Ah/12V Viking Bronze and the slightly more expensive 65Ah/12V Viking Silver. The latter was supposedly the only one of the above mentioned made on cast plates so I decided to take a chance and test it.
The battery has a rather cool colour scheme – more or less in Makita shades.
