I accidentally noticed that the ground wire in my Polo 6R wasn’t in the best condition.
The old ground wire (part number 6R0971537E) started showing first signs of corrosion. While I could have replaced it with an identical model, I took advantage of having a different engine now and decided to go with a longer cable – similar to what was factory-fitted in the Polo 2.0 TSI.
The replacement was quick and simple – it’s one of those maintenance items where regular inspection and replacement can prevent more serious problems in the future.
