While my Polo was innocently hanging on the lift at a local workshop for a brake servo replacement, a new issue accidentally came to light – it turned out that coolant was slightly dripping from the water radiator. The leak was right at the water outlet – the previous workshop probably broke the outlet while handling the front end cooling pack, and instead of replacing the radiator, they tried to fix it by using some strange adhesive and covering it with a rubber hose to hide their questionable repair work.

At BB-Cars, they tried to save it with a two-component adhesive, but PA6 isn’t really suitable for gluing (it would need to be welded), and besides, Pola doesn’t deserve such temporary solutions…

So I ordered a new radiator from the authorized dealer 🙂

We had to wait a few days because, as usual with VW, there are currently no parts in stock and everything comes from Germany.
