The VW car refrigerator is an interesting gadget with cooling and heating functions, which can be useful not only during summer trips. Its 25-liter capacity allows for easy storage of both beverage cans and 2-liter bottles.
Besides the option to power the refrigerator from a 12V socket in the car, it can be connected to a standard 230V outlet. This means it can be used not only on the road but also, for example, in a garage at a summer house. According to the description, it has a special system that protects the battery from discharging, however, when I had it connected continuously to a regular 110Ah battery, after about 3-4 days it was already heavily discharged…
It’s worth mentioning that besides the main cooling compartment with a cover, the refrigerator also has an additional light cover – it can be easily used when taking the refrigerator to places like the river/beach/terrace/garden, where we don’t have the possibility to connect it to power.

I bought the refrigerator through Allegro for 719 PLN, which was a better option than the price at the local authorized dealer.
Unfortunately, after unpacking, it turned out that the carrying handle had a slightly cracked clip. It wasn’t completely damaged, but the lighter color of the plastic suggested that it might break soon. Fortunately, the seller accepted the complaint without any problems, and I was able to replace the faulty handle with a new one without having to send back the entire refrigerator.
