Due to problems with fitting wheels to larger brake calipers, which I wrote about in a previous post, I was forced to change my Mirabeau wheels to Barcino wheels.
I couldn’t find silver wheels in decent condition anywhere, so I bought black ones, although I’ve never been a fan of black wheels on a car (they look like winter wheels, don’t stand out as much, their shape isn’t as visible from a distance, and they blend in with the tires…).
The biggest advantage of these wheels is their convex shape – all because they were designed for the Ibiza Cupra with thicker 4-piston AP-Racing calipers.
The wheels have a glossy black finish similar to the piano black known from interior decorative elements inside the car. I bought them used, they weren’t in the worst condition, but I lightly polished them with Makita DPV300Z using some random polishing paste from Allegro (Menzerna One Step Polish 3in1). I’m not into detailing, nor am I an expert on polishing pastes, this one was 3in1 like men’s shampoos, so it’s probably not ideal but sufficient for my needs 😀
