After checking several options, I decided to install 256mm brake disc shields because they fit without requiring modifications. Later I might consider something else.
In my previous post, I described the possible options.
I bought aftermarket cover plates, but since I already have them, I decided to protect them a bit better.
Brake Disc Splash Guard Bolts
When changing brake shields, it’s worth replacing the bolts at the same time, especially since they cost very little. We need 6 bolts (3 per splash plate).

Protection of Brake Shields
My aftermarket brake disc covers, which I initially bought just to check the fit, were not painted at all, so I lightly mattified the raw sheet metal and painted it first with several layers of zinc paint, then covered it with several layers of FORCH L259 wax, which was recommended to me for protecting screw and nut heads by Rafał from the Polo 6R Poland group (@nrproduction_pl).
I didn’t paint them blue because I don’t know yet how long I’ll keep them:

After protecting the brake covers, it was time for installation.
