For my Polo, I purchased an engine cover from the Audi A1, as it’s the only full cover available for the 2.0 TSI EA113 engine. OEM covers from VW are quite small and don’t hide the intake manifold or ignition coils. The typical VW Polo cover (e.g., 06F103925K) resembles a standard cover, similar to what came with my previous 1.4 CGGB engine.
Besides having additional foam insulation for better sound dampening, another benefit of the Audi A1 cover is that it nicely fills the engine bay by hiding the red ignition coils and the intake manifold. Unfortunately, it features the four-ring Audi logo, but when I ordered it, I was planning to install 18″ wheels from an Audi S1 with the same logo, so it didn’t bother me too much. I’ve seen on forums that many Golf/Scirocco owners sand off the four rings to replace them with GTI, R, or other badges, but my cover is still new, so I’ll have to live with it for now. After all, my engine was originally available in Audi models, so this reference could also be considered cool. The cover requires additional mounting points, so besides the cover itself, you’ll need 2 ball screws and one ball head.

The engine cover from the Audi A1 Quattro is an excellent alternative for VW Polo 6R R WRC Street owners and anyone else with a 2.0 TSI EA113 engine. The total cost of this modification is about 820 PLN, but in my opinion, the visual effect is worth the investment. I was supposed to get this cover for Valentine’s Day, but somehow it ended up being available for pickup almost a week later – fortunately, my Polo doesn’t hold grudges and forgives everything 😀
