The new wheel bearing housings were sandblasted and painted blue (ultramarine RAL 5002).
Without protection, steering knuckles rust quite quickly, even when not in use and lying in a cardboard box:



After 2-3 years they look hopeless and are all rusty:

That’s why I bought new steering knuckles once again and painted them immediately after purchase:






For the wheel bearing housings, as before, I used hubs from SKF (VKBA 3569) / OEM no.: 6C0407621, with a 72 mm diameter.
I haven’t had a problem with them in the last 5 years, so hopefully it will be the same now 🙂
They differ from the factory ones in that the latest version has no retaining ring:
I don’t have a hub press, so I gave the steering knuckles to a nearby workshop. Below are pictures of the wheel bearinh housings with the hubs on:
