The battery to boot conversion

In sporty Polo versions, the battery is installed in the luggage compartment, because of the larger air filter at the front.

In the VW Polo 6R GTI, Polo 6R WRC Street and Polo 6C it looked like this:

  2. 2 – Battery isolation igniter -N253-
  3. 3 – Securing bolt for battery isolation igniter -N253-
    • 20 Nm
  4. 4 – Mount for battery isolation igniter -N253- and positive distributor
  5. 5 – B+ cable
  6. 6 – Battery positive terminal cover
  7. 7 – Battery negative terminal cover
  8. 8 – Battery cover with mount for space-saving spare wheel
  9. 9 – Bolts for battery cover with mount for space-saving spare wheel
    • 20 Nm
  10. 10 – Battery positive terminal
    • 6 Nm
  11. 11 – Battery negative terminal
    • 6 Nm
    • A battery monitoring control unit -J367- (battery sensor) is also fitted in vehicles with a start/stop system
  12. 12 – Earth point on body for battery negative terminal
    • 20 Nm
  13. 13 – Clamping plate securing nut
    • M8x35
    • 20 Nm
