Function of operating and display unit for Climatronic air conditioning system -E87- with Climatronic control unit -J255-

Note
The operating and display unit for Climatronic air conditioning system -E87- and the Climatronic control unit -J255- cannot be dismantled.

1 – Blower control rotary knob

2 – Display for blower speed

3 – Display for operating condition in „automatic mode“

4 – Display for windscreen defrosting

5 – Display for air flow direction

6 – Display for air recirculation

7 – Display for operating condition when „air conditioning system is switched on“

  • The warning lamp lights up when the air conditioner compressor is switched on.

8 – Display for selected interior temperature

  • Switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit:
    • Press and hold down „AC“ button and then press „Auto“ button.
  • The corresponding temperature unit appears in the display.

9 – Rotary knob for interior temperature

10 – Dash panel temperature sensor -G56- and temperature sensor blower -V42-

Note:
If the dash panel temperature sensor -G56- or the temperature sensor blower -V42- fails, the operating and display unit for Climatronic air conditioning system -E87- must be renewed.

11 – „AUTO“ button

  • In automatic mode, the Climatronic maintains the selected interior temperature automatically. With this setting, the vent air temperature, the blower speed and the air distribution are controlled automatically.

12 – Windscreen defrosting button

13 – Button for „air flow to head“

14 – Button for „air flow to upper body“

15 – Button for „air flow to footwell“

16 – Button for fresh air and air recirculation mode

17 – AC button

  • Press AC button to switch cooling on and off.
  • Symbol -7- lights up when the air conditioner compressor is switched on.
