Due to the fact that my garage is not a typical car garage, but more of a place for car parts, and on top of that I myself don’t know how long it will be there, any type of epoxy/resin flooring dropped out at the start due to the high price and the requirement of an additional screed with smoothed concrete (this would hinder the possibility of unbolting the garage’s anchors in the future).

Some people lay stoneware or plastic (PVC) tiles in the garage, but the easiest way is to protect the floor with special concrete paint.

I chose a solvent-based acrylic paint from LAKMA – AKRYBET B30 “for concrete floors”. – It had a lot of positive reviews, and in addition, it is a company from Cieszyn – that is, not far from me 🙂

To paint the first (priming) layer, I used paint with the addition of about 10% thinner – as in the description. Next, two coats of AKRYBET B30 paint + as a finishing touch LAKMA AKRYBET FINISH S “Finishing coat for floors”.

The whole thing came out very cool, the garage is often dirty, and thanks to the fact that the floor is a bit slippery it is quite easy to clean 🙂

To start with, the floor had to be swept – I used water to keep it from getting too dusty:

And after drying, you can get down to painting the floor. I started with the frames all around, and then with the gate, so that I could exit through the door at the end.

One roller broke down, so a quick fix and I can finish the paint layer with a makeshift extension:

Finally, the coating…

And that’s it, you can bring all the stuff back inside 🙂
